What is your favorite month of the year? Mine would be October. Because in the northern hemisphere, October = autumn season. If you didn’t know, autumn is when the leaves turn into twenty-three shades of warm colors. And there’s something quite magical about this transformation that I always end up falling for. Hah, falling for. Get it? Well that and because Anne of Green Gables says that she is “glad to live in a world where there are Octobers” and that “it would be terrible if we just skipped from September to November.”

I like Octobers. And I am also glad to live in a world where there are Octobers. In Ukraine, October is a very special and interesting month. Around this time, there’s a period called Indian summer. During Indian summer, the sun is out and she is shining her bright golden rays, making you feel warm and snug right before the cooler season begins and the snow starts to fall. But don’t worry the first snowfall typically happens around November, anyway.
